Biography
I have had an active coaching practice since late 2008/early 2009. I was at that time, still directing the non-profit agency I had co-founded and which I ultimately directed for 30 years. I have over a half-century of experience working with couples, singles and families. I have a great deal of experience in all aspects of adoption and have worked with all all members of the adoption triad. I don't do much adoption coaching these days but still do periodically work with adult adoptees and birth parents as this is a lifelong interest.
My coaching practice focuses on grief and loss of all kinds, widowhood, helping women build confidence, reinventing life, and find or develop purpose and creativity.
I was once a young widow myself and raised my kids alone for a long time. I was an adoptive parent and also was a foster mother a long time ago. I adopted my fourth child as a widowed single parent before I remarried.
I am also a writer and published poet, having won several awards over my lifetime and I continue to write.
I love working with people who defy labels and who don't fit into boxes envisioned and created by others. It also gives me great satisfaction to help people navigate the rocky and lifelong terrain of grief and loss.
I have two websites. My main site is www.visionpoweredcoaching.com and an auxiliary site is www.widowscoach.com Blog at www.visionpoweredcoaching.com
