About this event
Communication Skills For Coaches
How often have you heard that coaches should not share ideas, opinions, or give advice? What if I told you that that is not true? Join this seminar to learn how to communicate freely while staying aligned to the ICF Core Competencies.
The Seminar will consist of three main parts. A presentation of approximately 20 minutes will kick off the work. A coaching practice in breakout rooms for about 30 minutes will follow. A Q&A session for the remainder of the time will conclude the workshop.
Earn 1.5 Core Competency CCEUs
Participants will learn how to show competence in Communicating Effectively (section C of the Core Competencies) and specifically how to exhibit competence in C.C. 6 - Listens Actively, and 7 - Evokes Awareness for communication skills. Reference will also be made to the coaching behavior of 'Partnering' and its role when a coach wants to communicate. Participants will learn the role of Partnering for exhibiting competency in both C.C. 4. Cultivates Trust and Safety, and 5. Maintains Presence as well.
