PRIME MODEL - A Simple, Easy Way to Understand and Master the ICF Core Competencies
Even for some experienced coaches, grasping the concepts of the ICF Core Competencies can be a challenge. Coaching models are designed to give us a bird’s eye view of the structure of the coaching conversation, freeing us to be even more present and more connected to our clients.
The PRIME MODEL was created out of my experience leading countless hours of coaching training and seeing the need my students had for an easy, simple and straightforward way for the new coach to hold the competencies while still being fully present to their clients. In this model you will still be able to observe every single ICF Core Competency, but they will come organically and in an uncomplicated way.
While this model was designed primarily for the beginner coach, I have noticed that even experienced coaches benefit from its perspective and simplicity.

Learning Objectives
The goal for this program is to give the participant coaches a streamlined way to view and understand the structure of the coaching conversation and free them to be more present, built in their partnership with the client and deeply listen to who their clients are. We will touch on virtually every Core Competency, but we will make them an organic process that puts the coach at ease and ready to engage in this intimate connection with their client.
Expected Outcome
Coaches participating in this program will leave with a deeper sense of understanding the Core Competencies and being able to use them with confidence and ease. The idea is to demystify the structure of the coaching conversation and give freedom to the coach to better relate, deepen their listening, and build in partnership with their client.
I am a leadership and executive coach with the primary focus of empowering leaders on how to incorporate the coach approach to their leadership style. The coaching mindset can be transformative to teams, organizations, and communities at large. It is by listening, asking questions, and truly honoring each individual that we are able to optimize engagement, purpose, innovation, and ultimately productivity and growth.
To support this process, I have invested in my own personal and professional development, becoming now a Master Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a faculty member at Coach U and Coaching Out of the Box. I am also an official certification assessor for the ICF and a registered mentor coach, supporting coaches to further polish their coaching skills, to successfully build and maintain their coaching practices and to prepare for their certification with the ICF.
Other tools I am licensed to use as part of my practice are the Coaching Clinic®, the Personal Communication Style Inventory (PCSI)® as well as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)®.
A strong focus of my work is on identifying, developing and celebrating the potential and resourcefulness of each person embracing their ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, marital status, personality type and/or professional standing. I am particularly mindful of giving my clients the space and the structure that enables them to refine their voice and to establish a solid place at the table.
Outside my coaching practice, I am a musician with a master’s degree in Music from the Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. I am also a photographer, a meditator in the Vipassana tradition, and an opera lover. I am passionate about traveling, ethnic food, and everything diversity.
