MasterClass with Rachel Dungan MCC-ACTC

Join Rachel Dungan, MCC-ACTC, co-founder of the Lead With Coaching Institute (LCI), for an engaging, interactive 90-minute session designed to explore coaching as a leadership style. Drawing on her expertise as an MCC coach and developer of ICF-aligned programmes, Rachel will guide our exploration through a practical lens of how coaching skills can transform leadership effectiveness in a VUCA/BANI world.

Lead With Coaching | Coaching as a Leadership Style

Through open discussions, breakout room exercises, and real-world scenarios, we will explore the ethical and practical implications of integrating coaching competencies into leadership. Topics include fostering psychological safety, navigating cultural and organisational resistance, and leveraging frameworks like LCI's PACES model to enhance trust, empathy, and presence.

This session emphasises the ICF Core Competencies of

  • Cultivating Trust and Safety
  • Maintaining Presence, and
  • Evoking Awareness, while integrating ethical considerations relevant to multi-generational leadership, decision-making, and team dynamics.

Earn 1.5 Core Competency CCEU

Learning Objectives tied to Core Competencies -

  • Discuss how to integrate coaching competencies into leadership frameworks to support team and organisational growth.

  • Apply the ICF Core Competencies to real-world leadership scenarios, including navigating difficult conversations and fostering psychological safety.

  • Explore ethical considerations in using coaching as a leadership style, including cultural sensitivity, power dynamics, and decision-making.

  • Gain practical tools and frameworks, such as PACES, to enhance coaching presence, trust, and awareness when coaching leaders (to lead with a coaching style of leadership).

Participants will leave with actionable insights and tools to support leaders in adopting a coaching mindset, managing difficult conversations, and driving purpose-aligned growth. The session concludes with an open Q&A to explore how MCC coaches can apply these principles in their practice and support the development of future-ready leaders.
