The Hard Skills of Emotional Intelligence
Description:
Emotional Intelligence is a hard, measurable skill and is not the same as EQ. EI is the ability to perceive (Map) emotion, use (Match) emotion to facilitate thought, understand the cause (Meaning) of emotion, and effectively manage (Move) emotion to achieve desired outcomes. This workshop is based on the foundational work of John Mayer and Peter Salovey.
Eligible CCEUs: 1.5 Resource Development
Learning Objectives:
*Understand the differences between EI and EQ.
*Learn how EI is measured using the MSCEIT (Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test) assessment tool.
By the end of the session, you will be familiar with the ability-based model of EI, how to use the model in your coaching practice, and how to integrate the EI Blueprint into your personal and professional life in real-time.
