About the Speakers: 

Nurdes Gomez (ACC)

Nurdes Gomez, a Miami native, is a seasoned People Operations professional with over 16 years of experience, known for her compassionate approach, process improvement focus, and dedication to employee development.

She spent 13 years at Baptist Health South Florida, supporting employee growth across multiple hospitals, and transitioned to the start-up world with a three-year tenure at Health System Solutions. In December 2021, Nurdes joined eMed, a technology start-up revolutionizing healthcare, as HR Manager and later Director of People Operations. 

Recognized for her impact in 2024, Nurdes received the Excellence in HR Award from StevenDouglas, HR Leader of the Year from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Award of Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from HR Miami. She holds an Executive Coaching Certification from the University of Kansas and Center for Executive Coaching. In 2025, she earned the esteemed ICF Associate Certified Coach and was awarded HR.com’s Emerging HR Leader of the Year. Dedicated to making healthcare accessible and affordable, Nurdes is passionate about eMed's mission, recognizing it as an opportunity to revolutionize healthcare. 


Katya Talavera (PCC/ITCA)
Katya Talavera

Katya is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF) and EMCC-accredited Team Coach (ITCA) with over 30 years of experience in leadership, HR, and organizational transformation. She began her career as a clinical psychologist, later spending a decade in corporate HR within the Oil & Gas sector in Bolivia and the UK. For the past 21 years, she has led her own international consulting firm. Katya is a Certified Breakthrough Coach, a Senior Practitioner in Systemic Team Coaching by GTCI, and serves on the faculty of GTCI’s practitioner program.
Her work blends systemic thinking, coaching psychology, and strategic insight to help leaders and teams unlock their potential and lead with purpose. She enjoys nature walks, learning new things, spending time with family and friends, and is a devoted pet lover.

Gaston Betoled (PCC/ ICFSFL VP Outreach)

Gaston Betoled is a seasoned Leadership & Talent Development expert and executive coach with over 20 years of experience driving business transformation through coaching, learning strategies, and organizational development.
Founder of The Napkin Coach , he partners with clients and organizations to unlock leadership potential, foster inclusive cultures, and align talent strategies with business goals. Gaston has held senior HR and L&D roles across the Americas and is a PCC-certified coach with credentials in executive coaching, career development, and talent strategy.
Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, he brings a global perspective to every engagement.

As the VP of Outreach for ICF South Florida, Gaston aims to create initiatives that propel the Coaching profession into the future in ethical, value-adding, and sustainable ways.
