Javier Torres is a passionate advocate for humanflourishing, financial independence, and compassionate leadership. Born and raised in Nicaragua and later a successful business owner in Miami, Javier has always been deeply interested in people’s stories — how we become who we are, how we navigate life’s challenges, and how we find meaning and fulfillment.
After achieving financial independence by the age of 50 following the investment philosophy of John Bogle, Javier dedicated himself to giving back. He co-founded the
Compassionate Leadership Foundation with his wife, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting lowincome students in their pursuit of education and personal growth. Learn more at

Javier holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Arkansas. He is a graduate of the inaugural
Master’s in Happiness Studies program at Centenary University and a
Certified Happiness Coach through the Happiness Studies Academy, where he studied under Professor Tal Ben-Shahar, creator of Harvard’s most attended course on Positive Psychology.
He frequently lectures students on the intersection of financial literacy and well-being, volunteering his time at institutions like Miami Dade College. He is also an active member of the
John Bogle Foundation for Financial Literacy, championing practical tools to achieve long-term financial wellness.
