HR + Coaching Series/ From Insight to Action: Applying Coaching in the Workplace

Many coaching insights never translate into workplace action because they fail to account for organizational realities. In this interactive session, coaches will use the TOMS framework to turn awareness into action, grounded in HR workflows, policies, and measurable outcomes, while applying ICF Core Competencies.

Nurdes Gomez,  a Miami native, is a seasoned People Operations professional with over 17 years of experience, known for her compassionate approach, process improvement focus, and dedication to employee development.

She spent 13 years at Baptist Health South Florida, supporting employee growth across multiple hospitals, and transitioned to the start-up world with a three-year tenure at Health System Solutions. In December 2021, Nurdes joined eMed, a technology start-up revolutionizing healthcare, as HR Manager and later Director of People Operations. 

Recognized for her impact in 2024, Nurdes received the Excellence in HR Award from Steven Douglas, HR Leader of the Year from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and the Award of Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from HR Miami. She holds an Executive Coaching Certification from the University of Kansas and Center for Executive Coaching. In 2025, she earned the esteemed ICF Associate Certified Coach and was awarded HR.com’s Emerging HR Leader of the Year. Dedicated to making healthcare accessible and affordable, Nurdes is passionate about eMed's mission to provide GLP-1 weight management and improve the wellness of all the communities served.
