Vital Voices Miami Mentoring Walk + Talk

On March 4th, several of our ICF South Florida Coaches attended the highly anticipated Vital Voices Miami Mentoring Walk + Talk in collaboration with WE Evolution. The annual Mentoring Walk brings together established and emerging women leaders to walk together in their community. ICFSFL had a table at the event to share information about our purpose and offerings with attendees, and as a result, several non-ICF members decided to join our Chapter and become an active part of the coaching community. Our volunteer coaches acted as mentors as well as mentees, receiving high-quality mentorship in various aspects of the business spectrum such as branding, business building, and marketing.

In addition, ICFSFL participated in the WE Evolution: Power of Coaching 2023 program, which began on March 22, 2023. A total of 37 coachees signed up for the program and specifically requested to be paired with each of the 23 ICFSFL Member coaches who signed up. The coaching meetings for Power of Coaching 2023 will commence in April and conclude by the end of June, with each coachee receiving six coaching sessions. As part of an exchange of benefits, ICFSFL coaches will provide 222 hours of paid coaching and receive a full-one-year membership to WeEvolution.

World Happiness Fest

This year's World Happiness Fest held at the FIU Biscayne Bay Campus was a smashing success, with an impressive 1,100 attendees, 153 exceptional speakers, and 53 of our own ICF South Florida coaches facilitating engaging discussions. We would like to especially thank the Outreach Committee for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the triumph of this remarkable event.

ICF South Florida made a significant impact on the event in three different ways.
1.    We recruited, trained, and organized all the facilitators for the event, including coaches who were not (yet) ICF members. Several of the non-ICF coaches approached us wanting to join ICF because of what they saw. Some international coaches asked if they could join ICFSFL even if they lived in other countries. The positive feedback we received from coaches and attendees alike, such as "I want to be one of you!" and "WOW WOW WOW...I am in AWE of the IMPACT this event had on all its attendees and participants and our coaching community," reflects the value that the facilitators added to the event. They created space, held the energy, and facilitated thoughtful discussions that built on the content provided by the speakers.

2.    ICF South Florida's booth played a crucial role in the event, serving as a point of reference for all facilitators and taking registration for coaches seeking CCEUs. From check-in to check-out, attendees received all the necessary materials, guidance, and even snacks and swag from the ICFSFL table. Many connections were made at the ICFSFL table, making it a central hub for all participants. The presence of our booth was so strong that some attendees believed that WE (ICFSFL) were the organizers of the event.

3.    ICF South Florida coaches Shakti Radhakishun, Katherina Capra, Suely Argianas, and Victor Galeano participated in a panel moderated by the VP of Outreach Committee, Valeska Martins, entitled "Elevating Wellbeing through Coaching." The panelists brought different perspectives on wellbeing in the workplace and personal life.
Overall, the World Happiness Fest was a fantastic event, and ICF South Florida played a significant role in its success.

ICF South Florida International Coaching Week (ICW)
May 8-13

The Outreach Committee is currently dedicating all efforts towards the preparation of ICW 2023 - Explore Your Potential - which will be held from May 8th to 13th. The organizing committee, consisting of Valeska Martins, Nada Haddad, and Claudia Flores, has adopted a three-pronged approach to increase engagement among our coaches.

Firstly, we are encouraging coaches to present in webinars on topics of their expertise and interest, showcasing their unique work.

Secondly, we are promoting the opportunity for coaches to offer pro bono coaching services to non-profit organizations in the community through the Coaching Coast to Coast initiative. Mayra Arrigazzi is developing  a partnership with ICF chapters from the west to the east coast so together we can make an impact far and wide through pro-bono coaching!

Finally, Vimari Roman is organizing 3 in-person events for local fellow coaches to celebrate the Coaching profession by connecting and engaging with each other in the discussion of important topics that impact the coaching profession and our practices.
