Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

Jan 4th, 2024 - World Braille Day

During January, we celebrate and remember Louis Braille, who was born in 1809 in France. Determined to overcome an accident that left him blind, he invented a reading system at age 15.
In 1854, the Braille System became more widely used. It was initially introduced at the school where Louis studied, but it was quickly adopted by other French schools.

On this year’s World Braille Day, let's not just celebrate diversity, but actively weave it into the fabric of our communities, schools, and workplaces.
Let Braille be the beacon, guiding us towards a future where every voice is heard, every mind valued, and every individual empowered to reach their full potential.
