The ICF Southeast Business Building Series is a five-month series to help coaches solidify the foundations of their business, explore the tools and resources needed to expand their business, and learn proven action items to create a thriving business! This is a very hands-on series created by coaches for coaches where participants will apply the tools right away. We understand coaches might not get this information in their coach training program or the business programs they’ve taken in the past, so the Southeast Region created this series just for them. This series is a collaboration between the 16 chapters in the Southeast Region and will take place January through May 2021.

One of the most taboo and uncomfortable topics to discuss is how coaches feel when their client goes on the attack. While this can be a rare occurrence, it‘s bound to happen sooner or later. A coach‘s ability to maintain a coaching mindset, composure, and compassion is imperative to managing these delicate moments.

The group will be invited to speak openly and vulnerably about times when they were mistreated by their clients, how it made them question themselves as a coach, and how they professionally dealt with their own feelings while respecting their clients.

Participants will learn how to spot the three stages of fear-based resistance in their clients--and themselves. They will also learn tools to turn to when a future client inevitably becomes defensive (projecting their own fears/flaws) or otherwise adversarial.

Join us and learn from directly from an MCC and certified ICF assessor about PCC Markers. PCC Markers are the indicators that an ICF credentialed assessor uses to listen for to determine which ICF Core Competencies are in evidence in a recorded coaching conversation. The following markers are the behaviors that should be exhibited in a coaching conversation at the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level.

Whether you are seeking credentialing for the first time for ACC or PCC, or you want to improve your competence in the art and science of coaching, this SIG was created for you. Limited to 20 participants.

When we work creatively with our coaching clients we liberate more of their awareness, so that they can focus more fully and deeply on the changes they want to make and on understanding their current situation. In this session Jenny and Sarah, with 37 years of coaching experience between them, will explain why creativity with clients works and show you how to use a range of simple techniques to support the growth of your clients and their enjoyment of your coaching. We’ll look at mapping, movement, diagramming and imagery…and maybe some more creative approaches which we don’t yet know. Artistic skills a disadvantage!
